We the People

Every American oath of office or military duty includes the oath to protect and defend The Constitution of the United States. Our founding fathers structured the government using this core document to create a system of checks and balances. By dividing federal power among the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judicial branches they sought to prevent the concentration of power by any group or individual. Because those wise men understood that human nature is inherently prone to corruption and the pursuit of absolute power inevitably leads to tyranny.

James Madison, Federalist No. 47 (1788): Described the accumulation of all powers in the same hands as "the very definition of tyranny".

Thomas Jefferson, Notes on the State of Virginia (1784): Noted that concentrating power in a plurality is still despotism, stating that "an elective despotism was not the government we fought for".

James Madison, Federalist No. 48 (1788): Stated that "power is of an encroaching nature" and requires active restraint.

John Adams, Massachusetts Constitution, Declaration of Rights, Article XXX (1780). After assigning separate duties to the legislative, executive, and judicial branches, the constitution Adams drafted states the purpose in one line: “to the end it may be a government of laws and not of men.”

James Madison, Federalist No. 51 (1788). Madison argued that each branch needed both the authority and the incentive to resist another branch taking over its duties. “Ambition must be made to counteract ambition.”

Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 78 (1788). Hamilton distinguished judicial power from Congress’s control of public money and the executive’s power to enforce the law. He described the judiciary as having “neither FORCE nor WILL, but merely judgment.”

Thomas Jefferson, Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XIII (1784). In the passage following the line you already have about “elective despotism,” Jefferson explained what dividing power should accomplish: “no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.”

George Washington, Farewell Address (1796): Warned against the spirit of encroachment and noted "the necessity of reciprocal checks" through the division of political power.

We begin with original records. Financial disclosures, securities filings, court records, government releases, corporate documents and other authenticated records form the foundation. Fact-checked journalism corroborated across independent sources supplies context and leads. A document’s release does not establish the truth of every statement it contains; its origin, date, context and evidentiary status matter.

Every person receives the same evidence-based scrutiny. We verify identities and distinguish ownership from lending, disclosed valuation ranges from realized income, announced investment from completed transactions, and attributed allegations from findings. Political affiliation, prominence and wealth do not determine treatment. A connection does not by itself establish wrongdoing.

Legal findings are presented accurately. Relevant conduct is compared with applicable law and constitutional provisions where public power is involved. Supported potential conflicts are flagged in red beside the governing text and evidence, with allegations distinguished from established violations.

The presentation follows the records. Our agent is instructed to report without partisan preference, invented connections or unsupported conclusions. Locations, dates and relationship lines carry the same meaning as their supporting reports. We protect sensitive personal information. The background artwork is an illustrative collage, not a record of transactions or ownership.
